Essential oils are multi-purpose and serve as a good addition to everyday well-being routines. For thousands of years, essential oils have been used for various treatments and to bring fragrance. Genuine 100% essential oils are collected from one plant species and they use plant leaves, stems, flowers, fruits, resin, roots or other plant parts. Oils can be used to lift, cheer up or calm and relax the mood. They can also increase concentration, memory and give self-confidence.
Essential oils can be used:
In the sauna
By adding 1 – 3 drops to a ladleful of water.
In a spray bottle
Add a few drops to water and spray into the room air and home textiles.
In the bath
Mix 3-5 drops with soap or honey and dissolve in bath water.
In the scented lantern
The scented lantern spreads the effects of essential oils into the room with the help of a candle. Add about 3-7 drops to water.
In the Aroma Diffuser
Add a few drops to a diffuser to humidify the air and spread aromas throughout the room.
Diffusers are a wonderful way to use essential oils. With the help of ultrasonic waves, the diffuser produces finely divided steam that moisturizes the air and makes it fresh and fragrant. Only when filled with water, the diffuser moisturizes the air around you, which is good for your face, skin and respiratory tract, as dry indoor air causes and increases the symptoms of irritation of the mucous membranes of the respiratory tract and the skin. Wetter air also binds dust and reduces its spread.
Refreshing or calming
Essential oils can be used according to one's mood and needs. Citrus oils have a stimulating effect, for example lemon oil brings stimulation and increases concentration. Orange oil lifts the mood and relieves stress.
Lavender oil is the most famous of the essential oils and is usually used when you want to calm down and relax. The undersigned's current favorite daily routine is to add a drop of essential lavender oil to the diffuser after a working day, when I want to recover from the day. You can even put a couple of drops of lavender oil on the corner of the pillowcase, it helps to calm the mind and fall asleep.
Spring scents and scent mixes
At this time of year, you feel like bringing the scent of nature home, essential oils suitable for spring are especially orange and lemon, lavender, peppermint and rosemary. You can also boldly mix essential oils together and make your own oil blends that you like. Thus, to make the allergy season easier, I recommend trying a mixture in which a drop of lavender, lemon and peppermint oil is added to the diffuser.
