Puhdas+ Rauta uses iron bisglycinate as a source of iron, which is one of the best tolerated iron compounds. In order to reduce the high iron content on the surface of the intestine, iron bisglycinate and vitamin C are packaged in a granule, from which it is gradually released as the granule moves forward in the intestine. This way, the entire amount of iron cannot be released in one place in the stomach or the beginning of the small intestine. In addition, vitamin C improves the absorption of iron when it is released from the granule at the same time.
