Frequently asked questions

Diffuser, scented lamp, bath and sauna: always add just a few drops into water (e.g. a sauna bucket) – never directly onto the stones or skin. You can also do room spray by mixing the drops with water.

Not directly on skin (manufacturer's instructions). Sweet orange (Citrus sinensis) is usually not phototoxic unlike bergamot or lime, but essential oils can sensitize particularly when oxidized– use only well diluted and fresh. Orange oil naturally contains a lot of Limonene (>90%).

Use only with professional guidance for pregnant women, small children and the sick/elderly (manufacturer's warning). Pets (especially cats and birds)may react sensitively to essential oils — avoid diffusing near them or take care very good ventilation and monitor your health.

Hold tightly closed, away from heat, light and air; thus oxidation slows down. With citrus oils is typically shorter service life (≈9–24 months), and cool storage/refrigerator can extend shelf life. If the scent becomes pungent or irritates the skin, the oil is likely oxidized.

Mix the drops initiallyto the carrier (e.g. for unscented fabric softener or water in a spray bottle) — this way the scent spreads more evenly and you avoid local overdoses. In the diffuser, keep short periods of 15–30 minutes and good ventilation.
